Turkey warmly welcomes participants to the High Level Partnership Forum on Somalia in İstanbul. The meeting will take place on 23-24 February 2016.
The logistical and administrative arrangements for the meeting is being undertaken by the HLPF Istanbul Logistics Team.

The delegations will make their own bookings. Due to busy season, the delegations are highly recommended to book their rooms as soon as possible.

Shuttle services will be provided from suggested hotels to the main meeting venue during the meeting days in the morning and in the afternoon.

3. Working language and interpretation:

The meeting will be conducted in Turkish, Somali and English languages. Simultaneous translation services will be provided in Turkish, Somali and English languages.

4. Information desk:

An information desk will be set up in the meeting venue.

5. Lunch:

Luncheon will be provided to the participants during 2 days of the meeting.
6. Prayer rooms:

Prayer rooms will be available for delegate use throughout the meeting.

7. Accreditation & Meetings:

7.1 Accreditation
As mentioned in point 7.5 below, delegations are allowed 1+2 participants at the conference. Delegations should send their registration forms for all their participants to HLPF Istanbul jointly. Delegations must fill in the attached registration form and submit the completed form to by 11 February 2016.

The accreditation of the international press members will be made through the General Directorate of Press and Information

7.2 Main Meeting Room Access
Accreditation passes will be provided to registered delegates in the morning of the first day of the meeting by HLPF Istanbul Logistics Team. The badges must be displayed and worn at all times while within designated access-controlled zones.

7.3. Security
The Security measures of the Summit will be taken by the competent authorities of the Republic of Turkey.

The lists of the Security Personnel accompanying the Official Delegations and the information concerning the types and serial numbers of their side arms, the amount of ammunition and the numbers, types and frequencies of the communication equipment should be given to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs beforehand. 7.4 Visa Requirements
Visa applications for the HLPF Istanbul should be made in accordance with the Turkish visa regime and regulations. Please note that a passport valid for at least 6 months as from the date of your arrival in Turkey is required. More information about visa requirements can be found at

7.5 Seating Arrangements
Seating arrangements of the participating delegations will be done according to the names of the countries in English alphabetical order. The names of the countries will be indicated by placates on the table. Behind the seat of each Head of Delegations (HoDs) 2 chairs will be allocated for every delegation.

7.6 Bilateral Meetings
Rooms will be available for the HoDs who wish to hold bilateral meetings. Necessary logistical assistance will be provided by the HLPF Istanbul Logistics Team at the meeting venue. Delegations wanting to make use of these meeting rooms are asked to inform the day and time of the request to Meeting rooms will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

7.7.Listening Room
A listening room will be available for those who cannot follow the meeting due to limitation in number for each delegation.

7.8 Interventions
Each session will allow for a limited number of interventions from the floor, for a maximum of 3 minutes each. Delegations are invited to inform until 4 February 2016 if they would like to make a floor intervention and indicate which session.

8. Transport:

The Ministers, Secretary Generals of International Organizations and their accompanying delegates arriving together at the Istanbul Atatürk Airport will be met and escorted to a VIP lounge by a Liaison Officer.

HoDs at the level of the Minister and Secretary General will be provided with a VIP car for the duration of their stay in Istanbul.

All registered participants will be entitled to access the airport shuttle service. They will be provided with airport transfer to and from the city on arrival/departure.

Programs for the shuttle service will be available at the information desk in the hotel.
